Future Farm
February 9, 2009
Dear Friends and Neighbors:
As some of you may have seen in the papers recently, Mother Nature’s Farm was denied its renewal of a Special Use Permit by the Gilbert Planning Commission to operate its current Agritainment farm. We have appealed this decision to the Gilbert Town Council. The Council meeting is scheduled for February 24, 2009 at 7:00 PM in the Town Council Chambers (50 E. Civic Drive, Gilbert).
Your support is critical—the Town needs to hear your voice. Below is a list of contacts that should be told how you feel about the Farm being denied its Use Permit to operate with Agritainment activities. Most of you have brought your children here; some of you bring your grandchildren here. I believe that our Farm is a benefit to the community. The Farm wants to improve and expand. A $3,000,000 project has been planned for many years and we are trying to implement this plan over the next few years. This project will create over 60 jobs and will continue to educate thousands of young children. If you can come speak at the Council meeting and/or send an e-mail to the Mayor, Council and Town Staff, it would be appreciated. We cannot risk losing our current Use Permit to operate the Farm for Agritainment activities.
The Farm has been collecting signatures of support—if you would like to sign or gather more signatures on our behalf please e-mail me back (wade@mothernaturesfarm.com). Any questions about the plan can be answered on our website (www.mothernaturesfarm.com) or you can call me directly at the Farm (480-892-5874) or on my cell phone (602-810-9480).
Thank you for your continued support.
